Analogue Multi-beamforming Networks and Antennas for B5G and 6G

报告摘要

This presentation introduces recent advances in analogue multi-beamforming networks and antennas for beyond 5G (B5G) and 6G wireless systems. A novel Generalized Joined Coupler (GIC) Matrix is proposed to overcome the inherent limitation of conventional beamforming networks, enabling multiple beams to be steered independently. Both Nolen-like and Blass-like GJC structures are synthesized and optimized using array excitation and radiation pattern-based methods to achieve low sidelobe levels and high flexibility. Several prototypes, including fixed-beams and tunable beams fed by GJC matrices are designed, fabricated, and experimentally verified. The results demonstrate wide-angle, orthogonality, and independently steerable multibeam performance, highlighting the strong potential of GJC-based beamforming networks for compact, high-capacity, and energy-effcient antenna systems in future 6G applications.

个人简介

He received the bachelor's and master's degrees from the School of Electronic Engineering, Xidian University, Xi'an, China, in 2015 and 2018, respectively. From 2018 to 2020, he worked as an RF engineer in Huawei Co., Ltd. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in University of Technology Sydney, Australia. His current research interests include microwave passive circuits and beamforming networks.
